Coronavirus (COVID19) Updates
16 March
It is after much uncertainty and with heavy hearts that we must announce that the Twin Lakes 20 cannot take place on Sunday 22nd March as planned.

We had hoped that we could safely host the event as this is clearly what the majority of our runners want, however it has become clear from today’s Prime Minister’s statement that no gatherings should take place.

Unfortunately we have already committed to many financial outlays, which cannot be refunded by our vendors so, instead we will be asking you to complete a 20-mile distance virtually.

You can run your own course, at your own pace, anytime between 19th March and 10th April. You will need to upload proof of your achievement and then we will post your medal and technical t-shirt from early April in batches at our own expense. Details can be found here

We will do our best to answer any emails over the next few days.

We are all in this together. Please be safe and join us in taking the necessary steps to minimise the spread of COVID-19.

14 March

We are implementing these steps in planning for the Twin Lakes 20 to make sure that our runners and volunteers are safe and that the event still goes ahead…
1) Wait in your car before the start OR spread out on the event lawn away from other runners.
2) Rolling start: You arrive and cross the start line ANYTIME between 8:45 and 9:15 to avoid a crowd at the start line.
3) Jelly babies will be given in cups to those who want them on the 2nd lap.
4) All volunteers in contact with runners will wear rubber gloves.
5) Please leave immediately after you have collected your t-shirt and medal.
6) Hand sanitiser will be available at the race HQ and at water stops
Thank you for all the kind messages we have received from our runners who want our event will go ahead.

Our staff and volunteers give constant care in a considerate, peaceful environment where patients coming to the end of their lives and their loved ones can really make the most of their time left together. We’re close to so many people’s hearts because of the compassionate, personal end of life care we provide for free – both at our hospice at beautiful Willen Lake and also in people’s homes.
